Welcome!

The Sixth Day Farm is a family run farm in the town of Clarendon, about 15 miles west of Rochester, NY. Dr. Wayne Jarvis and his wife Kathy live here with their daughters Katie, Jeanette, Sarah, Jessica and Eliza, Katie's husband Jacob, and Wayne and Kathy's first grandson, Isaac. See why we named it Sixth Day Farm.

The farm is primarily a breeding farm for fiber producing livestock, including Huacaya Alpacas and Corriedale and Cormo Sheep.

However, we also breed Saanen Dairy Goats as well as milking daily. The high quality goats milk is a very valuable resource. The goat colostrum and goat milk is kept for use in nursing alpaca crias when our alpaca dams or those of other farms are not able to nurse their babies well initially. The milk also makes a great beverage for the family, is a source of fantastic cheddar, mozzarella and queso blanco cheeses made by Kathy as well as wonderful goats milk soap made by the whole family.

The farm is also home to approximately fifty layer hens at any one time as well as the same number of pullets in a brooder to be the next batch of replacement layers. The four dozen wonderful extra-large free range eggs they produce everyday are never enough to keep up with the families meals and the local demand for Sixth Day Farm free range eggs.
